The most varied approaches to music are confirmed in the festival's day and night-time line-ups. The dark ambient-rock of Sunn 0))), the best techno en masse supplied by Richie Hawtin, the rave-pop of Digitalism and Calle 13's reggaeton are some of the last minute additions.

The somber and heavy atmospheres of the duo Sunn 0))), consisting of Stephen O'Malley and Greg Anderson will fill the Sónar Hall. At a festival that is paying special attention to the most extreme and original variations of rock, the presence of this pioneering doom metal - or as they prefer to call it, power-ambient - group is especially timely. Also from the world of noise comes Blixa Bargeld, the vocalist from the legendary group Einstürzende Neubauten, who will be at Sonar by Day to perform with FM3, the inventors of the famous Buddha Machines and one of China's most important electronic groups.

The Godfather of Technosoul με αγάπη από το Detroit! Ο Eddie μαζί με τον Juan Atkins, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson θεωρούνται από τους θεμέλιους λίθους της Detroit Techno σκηνής προσφέροντας μας από το 1986 περισσότερα από 150 techno anthems.Αξίζει να αναφέρουμε επίσης ότι έχει στο ενεργητικό του remixes για Pet Shop Boys, Moby, Martha Wash ...

Born 1976 Osaka, presently resident in Paris, France. Since the first album, 'SILICOM', released at the beginning of 2001, Aoki has been reviewing his personal methodology whilst actively creating sounds based mainly on computer/software. Aoki is an energetic artist vigorously expanding the limits of original musical expression.

Of late, Aoki has used his own voicings in his work, released an album in collaboration with Tujiko Noriko of Fat Cat Records, challenges for minimal track that uses 4/4 rhythms with op.disc, has recorded a cover of 'The Beatles' song 'i will' for the BBC radio show 'One World', and has completed a joint-production with a contemporary dancer/image writer of YCAM fame. Although the range of Aoki's activities indicate further expansion, the presence of Takamasa Aokoi's expression never fluctuates.

Oliver Koletzki first started producing music in the eighties with a Commodore 64. At aged 13, he started taking guitar and piano lessons. His inspirations were Breakdance and Hip Hop music of the early nineties.

Since passing his A-levels, he has been studying music at the Berlin Humboldt University. Occasionally he also does sound design for films for the University of Arts in Berlin.

In 2005, Oliver scored a huge hit with his track 'Der Muckenschwarm' which was signed to Sven Vath's Cocoon label, remixed by Dominik Eulberg and appeared on Pete Tong's 'Essential Selection' compilation. The track was subsequently voted Best Track in Germany's Groove Magazine's Readers Poll 2005.

Oliver also remixed Oliver Huntemann's 'Radio' for the Dance Electric label and released remixes on Secret Planet, Great Stuff and Gomma Records as Parker Frisby.

Τη Δευτέρα 16 Απριλίου εγκαινιάζεται στην a.antonopoulou.art η έκθεση / παρουσίαση του βιβλίου του Ιλάν Μανουάχ που εξέδωσε ο Κορμοράνος πριν από λίγες ημέρες, με τίτλο “Η Χρυσή εποχή”.


Στην έκθεση αυτή (που πρόκειται να διαρκέσει μέχρι και το Σάββατο 5 Μαϊου), θα παρουσιαστούν κάποια από τα αυθεντικά έργα που συμπεριλαμβάνονται στο βιβλίo.

Η γοητεία μιας άλλης εποχής, που αποπνέει ο χώρος με τα φουγάρα, τα θεόρατα καζάνια (αεριοφυλάκια), τις καμινάδες και τους φούρνους "συνωμοτεί" ευλαβικά στο να καθιερωθεί ως "εργοστάσιο" προστασίας και παραγωγής της τέχνης, αφού ακόμη και ετυμολογικά η λέξη gas (προέρχεται από την αρχαία γερμανική galist, αργότερα geist) σημαίνει πνεύμα.

O Tomboy [aka Tomas Bardfor], μέλος και του δανέζικου future disco group whomadewho, είναι ένας από τους πιο πολυσυζητημένους ανθρώπους της 'νέας' ηλεκτρονικής σκηνής. Πέρα από τις κυκλοφορίες του σε μορφή 12'' στη gomma και τα διάφορα remix που ανά τόσο κάνει για λογαριασμό της turbo, kitsune, getphysical, βγάζει το πρώτο προσωπικό του δίσκο. Το serios αποτελείται από 14 tracks, moody, μελωδικά, ηλεκτρονικά εμπνευσμένα από την cosmic disco των 70s, την electronica των 90s, γεμάτα funk διάθεση. Αλλά δεν παραμένει απλά ένας ακόμα ηλεκτρονικός/dance δίσκος όπως τόσοι άλλοι, παρόλο που κινείται στις βασικές γραμμές 4/4 όλως των dance albums. (more)

As usual, KC Vooruit in the lovely city of Ghent is home to the event, with the Ghent Festival as the bigger picture. The yearly high mass of club music in Belgium goes looking for every corner and angle of and on club music, bearing that flag that has ECLECTIC written all over it. House, electro, breakbeats, rock, drum 'n' bass, minimal, broken beats, nu-jazz, techno, funk, disco, dubstep, electro-house, you'll find it at 10 Days Off.

Τα χάρτινα φορέματα πρωτοπαρουσιάστηκαν στις ΗΠΑ το 1966 και μέσα σε διάστημα δύο χρόνων κατέκλυσαν την αγορά, δημιουργώντας μια μόδα που εξέφραζε απόλυτα την ποπ κουλτούρα του ’60.

Ο καλλιτεχνικός οργανισμός ATOPOS διαθέτει τη μεγαλύτερη ίσως συλλογή χάρτινων φορεμάτων του ’60 στον κόσμο και την παρουσιάζει σε μια πρωτότυπη εγκατάσταση σχεδιασμένη από το γαλλικό γραφείο βιομηχανικού σχεδιασμού Normal Studio.
Παράλληλα, η έκθεση επεκτείνει τη θεματολογία της στη μελέτη της άγνωστης χρήσης του χαρτιού στην ιστορία του ενδύματος, παρουσιάζοντας μια ευρεία γκάμα χάρτινων ενδυμάτων: από ιαπωνικά κιμονό της περιόδου Έντο έως ενδύματα υγειονομικής χρήσης, καθώς, βέβαια, και χαρακτηριστικά δείγματα δημιουργιών επώνυμων σχεδιαστών, όπως των John Galliano, Issey Miyake, Hussein Chalayan, Walter Van Beirendonck κ.ά. Στο στάδιο της προετοιμασίας βρίσκεται το 3ο Athens Music Forum, το μοναδικό συνέδριο για τη μουσική βιομηχανία στην Ελλάδα, μια πρωτοβουλία του Mad και της Archangel Music που θα πραγματοποιηθεί για τρίτο χρόνο στο συνεδριακό χώρο ΔΑΙΣ στις 24 και 25 Απριλίου 2007.

Το Athens Music Forum, είναι ένα συνέδριο για τη μουσική βιομηχανία, με στόχο να συγκεντρώσει εκπροσώπους όλων των επαγγελματικών κλάδων που σχετίζονται άμεσα ή έμμεσα με αυτόν τον τομέα και να αποτελέσει ένα βήμα για την κοινοποίηση, συζήτηση και αντιμετώπιση όλων των θεμάτων που πλήττουν τον χώρο. Παράλληλα, λειτουργεί ως σημείο αναφοράς για μελέτη, ανταλλαγή απόψεων και παρουσίαση νέων τεχνολογιών που αποβλέπουν στη γενικότερη βελτίωση και ανάπτυξη του κλάδου. (more)

Being into club music since its tender age, Shonky graced the decks of a club for the first time in 1998 inspired by djs like Dan Ghenacia, Ivan Smagghe among others as a time when serious parisian clubbers revolved around the Kwality parties at the Batofar.
Since then hes been regular in key parisian clubs like La Scene, Le Rex ou Le Nouveau Casino. Hes got nowadays a monthly residency Zip at La Fleche dOr with :Terry: and Dyed Soundorom. His international pedigree includes Deep in Madrid, City Hall in Barcelona, a Mental Groove party in Geneva etc...
Shonky released his first production through FreaK n Chic in 2005, Let Me Ask U a tongue-in-cheek non sense clicky song about a lost soulmate (or maybe not) and his new production work are ready to be released in sept 2006 through Sub Static and Resopal RED.He has just finished a new ep for Freak n'Chic.

Shonky is also developing a production partnership with Jennifer Cardini including remixes for Mobilee, Crosstown Rebels and Microfon. They have just finished their first original co-production for Mobilee.
